Résumé: At the time of initiating the IEP, school professionnal and support staff are usually already involved in one way or another in support- ing students with emotional and behavioural difficulties. Notwith- standing past practice, in order to now align closely with the “I have my IEP !” toolkit principles it could be deemed a valuable exercise to re-examine past strategies and refresh some practices in light of Self-DeterminationTheory.
